College Ministry

College Ministry Logo

The college years are some of the most trying and demanding times in a young person’s life. Southside Baptist Church College Ministry seeks to keep students connected with the church and provide support and spiritual guidance that points them to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Sunday School, weekly Bible study, and social events; students are able to grow in their faith and in their relationships with one another. Students are encouraged to serve in many areas around the church, and are very active in missions both at home and around the world.

Upcoming College Events:

Join us for . . .

Sunday Bible Study – 9:15 a.m.
The college/career class is taught by Andrew and Emily Hamilton.  We are currently walking through the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament.  We meet in room 217.

Wednesday Bible Study – 6:00 p.m.
A very laid back weekly study led by Darren Hood.  Our current study is entitled Follow Me.  We are learning about faith, obedience, and being made holy.  We meet in room 217.

Mission Projects
We participate in a variety of mission projects throughout the year. Many students participate in mission trips domestically and abroad.

Mission projects such as lawn care for the elderly or painting/cleaning for a homeless shelter, provides a way for us to help those in need and to share the love of Christ.

Faith/Visitation
Sunday afternoons are set aside to reach out to our friends, coworkers, and even strangers to share encouragement and the truths of God’s love for us.

Activities
Rafting trips, day hikes, Girls’ Day Out, cookouts at the river, concerts, ballgames, DiscipleNow…these events and more are planned throughout the year. We welcome your suggestions!
