QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q:
What is Ever Faithful?
A:
Ever Faithful is a three-year campaign to retire the church's
existing debt on the new children's building. The church still owes
about $3.7 million from the project. Scriptures remind us that God
is ever faithful in blessing His people (Deut. 34:6) and we are
called to be faithful in our walk with Him. (Mark 8:34)
Q:
What will this money be used for?
A:
It's already being used every Sunday in the children's building,
which provides clean, safe classrooms where God's Word is taught to
young people. It also is being used in updated20choir rooms, kitchen
facilities and an inviting welcome area.
Q:
How can I be expected to give in tough
economic times?
A:
Everyone is grappling with a tight budget these days. But everything
we have belongs to Him. (Psalm 24:1) Part of following Jesus means
trusting in Him to find the right amount to give. (I Peter 5:7)
Q:
After we pay off the debt, what's next?
A:
Eliminating the debt will allow the church to pursue a long-term
strategy to serve the Southside community and beyond through
missions, evangelism, and other outreaches. The church is called to
boldly spread the word of Jesus (Mark 16:15) to the ends of the
earth. Money given to retire the debt means more opportunities to
share the knowledge of Jesus' redeeming work with those who need to
hear it.
