Family: Lauil is married to Faye Thompson. They have four children: Gregg Thompson, Joy Tilley Perryman, Chris Thompson, and Joan Tilley Coker, and five grandchildren. Education: Gadsden State and Snead Junior College, Majoring in Religion Service: Lauil has served as the Homebound Minister at Southside Baptist church since November 1998. He also served as interim Youth Minister in 1987. He is an ordained deacon, where he has served in three churches. Lauil retired from Alabama Power Company after 36 years.
